Description of Wellbeing Project

The Mental Wellbeing Project is a Colegau Cymru e-learning project designed to help you learn about mental health, staying well and healthy relationships. The Mental Wellbeing Project also encourages you to develop healthy coping skills in order to be happy, healthy and safe.
There are 6 interactive modules to complete on the following topics;

Mental Health - The Basics

Understanding Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviors

Healthy Relationships

Distress Tolerance

Sleeping Well

Eating Well and Feeling Body Positive
The modules can be completed in your own time, however many times as you want, on any device which can support a webpage. The modules are designed to be short, engaging and informative. They’ll give you a chance to learn about each topic and partake in simple tasks to help you understand and develop skills to cope and stay well. During some of the modules you will be asked to complete some tasks. To complete these tasks, you will need to download the PDF document clearly visible in the modules, save the document to your device or computer and then complete the tasks in the saved document.
No one else will see your answers, this is entirely optional and something which you can decide to do to better your knowledge and help yourself. This is designed for all people, including people who aren’t currently struggling with their mental health.
You will be asked to complete a questionnaire before you start the modules, after you finish them the first time and in 3-6 months after completing the modules. The questionnaires are anonymous, meaning the answers you give can’t be traced back to you as an individual and none of your personal data will be stored. The information from the questionnaires will help us make sure the modules are helpful and are having a positive effect on people’s mental health.
Disclaimer: These modules are not quick fixes, the information you receive and the skills you learn need to be practiced as part of a healthy lifestyle. You may not feel the benefits immediately, however, over time the skills, if practiced, can help you cope with the natural ups and downs of life.
These modules DO NOT replace professional help and support. If you are struggling to cope it is important to talk to someone, including student services in your college, friends or family and/or your GP.
