Gong is an application to help you “stay in the present moment” through the practice of conscience meditation, by using scheduled alarms throughout the day.
Right when you hear the gong sound, focus for about 3 to 5 seconds on your breathing (and all other physical sensations).
Detach yourself of your thoughts and worries.
If you hear the gong sound during professional activity (such as driving) or around people, try to just focus more on the task under way.
Try to feel in your body the sensations you get at your office or in the car, whether they are enjoyable or not, or even whether positive or negative.
This short connection to reality during the present moment will stop your current thoughts or worries and will allow to fully enjoy your activity.
This application offers the opportunity to choose the times of your alarms based on your planning. Share your activity planning with those around you with a QR code so that you can receive the alarms at the same time!
In addition, gong has an option to use timers for your meditation sessions, which include a sound for the start and end of your session. Follow your track based on a graph found in the statistic page.
At the beginning, don’t try to overdo. The application allows you to modify the number and the time of these daily exercises.
