If you’re struggling with getting enough sleep, or you’re feeling groggy and disoriented in the morning, you may have issues revolving around sleep cycles.
It's NOT just an alarm app, it’s an alarm app that maximizes your sleep cycle to give you more restful sleep. As you know when we fall asleep, we have sleep cycles. This app breaks these cycles down for you based on studies and articles in which this app is based on.
You know how sometimes when you’ve slept for 1 hour, you wake up feeling rested like you slept for 3 hours and sometimes when you sleep for 3 hours, you wake up feeling like you only slept for 1 hour? Well, this sleep cycle alarm clock will do the math for you because it has already pre-calculated the multiple sleep cycles we have.
The sleep cycle studies show that if we sleep during any one or more of these sleep cycles, we get uninterrupted cycles of sleep, hence feeling more rested than waking up in between any one or more of these sleep cycles.
Example 1: I want to sleep now and wake up in about 2 hours. It is now 10:15pm and it takes me approx. 10 mins to fall asleep. This app will take into account the amount of time you need to fall asleep, factor in however many sleep cycles are in 2 hours and render the time your alarm will wake you up. The list you see are the pre-calculated cycles.
10:15 :10 however many cycles there are in 2 hours (the closest match could be 2 hours and 15 mins or 1 hour and 55 mins)
Example 2: I want to awake by 12:00am. It is now 9:30pm. The list indicates the sleep cycles and the first sleep cycle suggests I sleep at 10:20pm.
Example 3: I want to sleep by 10:00pm. It is now 9:45pm. I check the list and it suggests if I want 7.5 hours of sleep (5 cycles) the alarm will set for 5:40am.
