Движения шахматных фигур:
- Пешка перемещается на одну клетку вперед или на две клетки при первом ходе этой фигуры. Бьет по диагонали на одно поле вперед.
- Король может пройти одну клетку по вертикали, горизонтали или диагонали.
- Королева может двигаться во всех направлениях.
- Ладья перемещается на любое расстояние по вертикали или горизонтали.
- Конь перемещается по полю на две клетки по вертикали и одной по горизонтали или одной клетки по вертикали и двух по горизонтали.
- Слон перемещается на любое расстояние по диагонали.
Важные игровые ситуации:
- Шах - позиция в шахматах, когда король подвергается немедленной атаке фигур соперника.
- Мат - это атака на короля, от которой вы или ваш противник не можете убежать.
- Пат (ничья) - позиция, в которой один игрок не может двигаться, но его король не атакован.
Цель игры - поставить мат другому королю.
Два особых хода в шахматах:
- Рокировка - это двойной ход, выполняемый королем и ладьей, которые никогда не двигались.
