This application " Safar "provides the tourist with city map depending on its current location entered by the android phone user. This information helps the tourists to find the desired locations to visit. Well it consists of entire details of those locations or how to reach the location as well as other emergency amenities like hospitals, emergencies, hotels etc but it provides the basic information to decide the places to visit. This project is mainly beneficial for the tourist’s having no idea about the places they want to visit. By providing a geographic based information system the tourists and people shifting to new cities can get a better guidance of the places they want to visit. The application gives the basic details that will be required such as an image of that place along with basic details like the address, contact no etc.
Features:
User login: This allows only the registered users to login in order to use this location tracking application.
Location based information: The Tourist is just required to enter the location and can view the information about places depending on the location entered.

View the pictures and videos of the functions, events, vacations, etc. on the go. Just login to the app as a guest and see all the available events that are being hosted or has been hosted. Explore the pictures and videos related to each.
Once logged in to the app, you can view the name of all the organization that are hosting and have you enrolled in. In these organization’s category, you can see the events that are hosted wherein all the media files corresponding to each events can be found.

The SAFAR (System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research) is a project of Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India having distinction to develop India’s first ever Air Quality Forecasting system SAFAR for Metro cities. This is the 2nd version /Update of the MobileApp where based on the feedback and public demand, following new features are added:
(1) It has been made Multi-lingual. Languages are English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati –spoken in 4 SAFAR cities.
(2) An excellent feature of Voice service is added which can be listened by clicking the speaker button.
(3) The detailed advisory and precautions are added. To make it more attractive, an animated Flag boy is added who will change the color of flag based on the quality of air from Green to Maroon. The expression of boy will also change and Flag gets lifted up as Air Quality worsens.
Many of you raised an issue as to why this service is available in just 4 cities and not in other cities. I share your concern and deeply appreciate. However, expanding such services requires lot of financial resources and time. One SAFAR station requires minimum cost towards 10 AQMS, 10 AWS, super computer cost for forecast, emission inventory cost, outreach cost and so on. Depending on priority, projects are approved. We expect to expand it in future but not in near future as it stands.

It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) mounted his camel to set out on a journey, he would say takbeer three times, then he would say: “Subhaan allathi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrineen wa inna ila rabbina la munqaliboon. Allaahumma inna nas’aluka fi safarina haadha al-birra wa’l-taqwa wa min al-‘aml ma tarda, Allaahumma hawwin ‘alayna safarana haadha watwi ‘anna bu’dahu. Allaahumma anta al-saahib fi’l-safar wa’l-khaleefah fi’l-ahl. Allaahumma inni a’oodhu bika min wa’tha’ al-safar wa ka’aabat al-manzar wa su’ al-munqalib fi’l-maali wa’l-ahl (Glory be to the One Who has placed this (transport) at our service and we ourselves would not have been capable of that, and to our Lord is our final destiny. O Allaah, we ask You for righteousness and piety in this journey of ours, and we ask You for deeds which please You. O Allaah, facilitate our journey and let us cover its distance quickly. O Allaah, You are the Companion on the journey and the Successor (the One Who guards them in a person’s absence) over the family. O Allaah, I seek refuge with You from the difficulties of travel, from having a change of heart and from being in a bad predicament, and I seek refuge with You from an ill-fated outcome with regard to wealth and family).” And when he returned he would say the same words, with the following addition: “Aayiboona taa’iboona ‘aabidoona li rabbina haamidoon (Returning, repenting, worshipping and praising our Lord).”
