Peek Vision aims to bring high quality eye care everywhere.
This is our first publicly available app, offering a visual acuity test and refractive error simulator. The app has been tested with academic rigour within the NHS and in rural Kenya.
On-screen instructions allow vision testing without formal training. The SigntSim adaptation allows presentation of the test result in a novel, jargon-free, pictorial way. This makes Peek Lite an ideal tool for teachers, carers, or parents of the visually impaired to gain insight into the visual world of those with poor acuity.
IMPORTANT: While this app is designed to detect visual problems, it does not replace a formal eye examination by a health care professional. If there is concern despite a normal vision score, formal review is advised.
