The RotaFamApp is for research purposes and is accessible to a select number of participants. During the study we ask you to keep a digital diary daily RotaFamApp about the symptoms in family members which may indicate a rotavirus infection. It is a list of some questions, completing usually takes less than one minute.
When symptoms fit a possible rotavirus infection you automatically get (through the app) additional questions about the severity of the symptoms and the possible source of infection. This will be a short questionnaire to the severity of the symptoms from the 1st day to which the complaints arise to be filled in for 7 days.
On the 7th day, we also ask you to fill in a questionnaire about absenteeism, missed creche days and other consequences that have had the disease on daily functioning.
All these questions will be asked via the RotaFamApp and are often filled quickly.
