Abbateggio is a village in the province of Pescara, located a short distance from the Via Tiburtina Valeria, at an altitude of 450 m .. s.l.m
His appearance is that of a small mountain town nestled in the shadow of the Maiella; The houses of the village are built with the white stone, typical of Majella, handmade according to tradition thriving local stonemasons. With its approximately 400 inhabitants is a national reference point for culture, literature and traditions. Every year Abbateggio hosts the prestigious "National Literature Prize Naturalistic Park Majella" dedicated to writers of green pen.
