DigiBANDHAN, based on patent pending system, helps to provide personal care to care recipient even when care provider and care recipient are not physically close to each other. The ecosystem members include optional roles of local guardian and professional support provider.
There are four predefined roles in DigiBANDHAN:
1) Care Provider and Admin (Default role for new registration and mandatory role)
2) Care Recipient (Required role for DigiBANDHAN to provide personal.care@digi.age)
3) Local Guardian (optional but desirable)
4) Professional Support Provider (optional)
DigiBANDHAN is multi-functional. The following functionality is currently available in DigiBANDHAN. DigiBANDHAN requires active connection to internet (wireless or 4G) for its operation.
A) Location Services - Track care recipient's location on periodic basis, subject to privacy setting.
B) Emergency Alert System - Care recipient can initiate emergency. Notifications will be sent to registered care provider, guardian and professional support provider.
C) Cell Phone Activity - Track care recipient's phone battery status, time or status of charging etc.
on periodic basis, subject to privacy setting.
D) Reminder Services - Any registered user in the closed group can set reminder (or alarm) for self or other members within the same closed group.
This can be creatively used for various scenarios like medicine, food, diagnostics, appointments, events, anniversaries etc.
E) Phone Call Services - Phone call can be initiated within DigiBANDHAN to any other member within the same group or to other contacts in local address book of the user.
F) Records Management - Any user can create records (or notes) which will be available to self and other members within the same group. This can be creatively used for storing shared information related to profile, common emergency contacts, allergies, blood group, medical history, prescriptions, diagnostics results etc.
Various options are available to customize DigiBANDHAN
i. Personal Profile: Options are available to edit name, change role, edit email, edit cell phone number, change log in PIN, remove self from group and delete one’s account. For change role to be effective, it is mandatory for admin to have pre-registered the user’s mobile number for the desired role.
Either the admin or the users can remove themselves from the group or from DigiBANDHAN. If they remove themselves, their data history and related information will be removed.
ii. App Setting: Options are available to change display language (English, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada or Malayalam), change color theme, set audio or vibrate for alerts and setting for snooze time.
iii. Privacy Setting: Available only to care provider admin and to care recipient. Has options to enable or disable location broadcast and cell phone activity broadcast of care recipient’s phone. The care provider can override and disable the broadcast except during the time of emergency. The frequency of broadcast can also be set.
iv. Group Setting: User can see status of members within the closed group on whether they are using DigiBANDHAN or not and if they are using DigiBANDHAN, when they used DigiBANDHAN.
Admin has options to add other roles like care recipient, local guardian and professional support provider. If required, the group can also be dissolved by admin.
