Galactic year 2121. Planet Maggot, having been hit by a battery of meteors, is totally destroyed. The planet's inhabitants, Wormoids, flee to space but after an unequal battle, they are captured by the Zorgons, a tribe of mutant pirates. The ruthless Zorgons use them as gladiators in the “Great Arena”. Those who survive, end up guinea pigs for the evil scientist Dr Z. While held in captivity in the Z- labs, little Wormy manages to modify Dr Z’s Transmuting Generator, offering them a chance to escape!
