The push of the first teeth is an important step in the life of your baby and yours. It can unfortunately be accompanied by some discomfort. Learn more about how to relieve the symptoms associated with teething to improve the well-being of your child.
Tooth thrust
The first tooth thrust in the baby usually occurs around the age of 6 months. However, it can occur earlier, from the age of 3 months, or even later until the age of 1 year. Usually, all 20 primary teeth will have appeared when your child reaches the age of 3 years.
While many children have no symptoms associated with teething, others experience some discomfort or, more rarely, pain. Symptoms associated with dental flare include:
swelling or redness in the gums
an increase in salivation;
irritability or more frequent crying;
a tendency to chew or chew objects
redness in the cheeks or chin
decreased appetite
softer stools;
a slight increase in temperature;
a less good sleep.
The symptoms associated with dental flare usually begin within a few days before the tooth is released from the gum. They then fade when the tooth pierces the gum.
