The camera is not always able to recognize the puzzle, for example in poor lighting or due to glare. This is not a problem - the puzzle can easily be entered in manual mode.
For simple puzzles (2x2x2, 2x2x3, 2x3x3, 1x2x3, Skewb, Ivy, Pyraminx, Dino) ASolver finds the optimal solution with the minimum possible number of moves.
The solution of the 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube and the 3x3x3 Void Cube is very close to optimal. For a well tangled puzzle, that's about 19 moves.
For 4x4x4, 5x5x5, Kilominx with and without centers, and Megaminx the optimal solution is unknown, so nobody knows :)
A well-tangled:
- 4x4x4 on average is solved in 48 moves
- 5x5x5 in 83 moves
- Kilominx with centers in 35 moves
- Kilominx without centers in 33 moves.
