John Dramani Mahama is the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Candidate in Ghana's December 2020 Presidential Election.
John Mahama has previously served for one term as President of Ghana, 2012- 2017, and before that Vice President of Ghana, between 2009 and 2012.
He is a communications specialist, historian, and writer. He was a Member of Parliament for Bole Bamboi from 1997 to 2009 and a Deputy Minister and later Minister for Communications from 1998 to 2001.
