Description of The Ruet

The Ruet, the first official moonsighting mobile application utility in Pakistan, developed with an aim to be used to view the various moon related details through scientific ways and to facilitate the people at large to sight the moon on religious and other occasions.
The App is developed and published by COMSATS University Islamabad (“CUI”) for and on behalf of Ministry of Science and Technology.
Main features in this application:
-Official five years (1440-1445 H) lunar calendar developed and launched by Ministry of Science and Technology.
- Statistical information of new Moon
- Moon Phases
- Sky Simulation
Sensors required for the smooth working of this application:
- GPS
- Compass
- Accelerometer
- Gyroscope
- Touch screen
- Multi touch
Permissions required to run this application:
- Internet and network access permission.
- Location (precise GPS and network-based location): needed for precise calculations of moon and sun position.

  Useless app. There result of Gilgit and Karachi is same which is not possible i-e 0 mint difference. The app is heavily relied on backend. Every time API is called to fetch results. No innovation and out of the box solution as it claims. Some of the functionalities are not working. Seems like its developed by Students as semester project.
