Description of Storm Shield

Severe weather alerts for your exact location. Storm Shield gives you storm-based alerts for tornado, hurricane, flood, thunderstorm, winter storms and other life-threatening weather events via voice and push notification.
Storm-based alerts help reduce false alarms by alerting you to severe weather based on your exact location within a county. County-based alerts can result in false alarms, warning you when your location in the county is not within the threatened area.
These features come with your app download:
Benefits:
• Get voice alerts just like a NOAA weather radio via push notification anywhere in the United States.
• Hi-Def radar map is your home screen so you can quickly see what's going on at your locations.
• View current conditions, hourly and daily forecasts.
• Save additional locations to ensure family members stay safe.
View NOAA severe weather alerts on the map to see where dangerous weather is happening:
• Tap alerts to view info
• Show multiple severe weather layers on the map at the same time
• Flood watches & warnings
• Tornadoes & Thunderstorms
• Hurricane & Tropical Storm forecast tracks
• Winter storms
• Marine & Coastal alerts
• Radar & Clouds

Love this app and beside the ability to see weather conditiins anywhere I am curious about it has great geography features. When planning a trip to an area I can zoom in and see roads and nearby cities without the multiple ads for local businesses that map apps pop in.

Its good but needs a few more features. First, there should be an option to disable saved location markers on the map since it takes up all of the radar. The reason why I have 100+ saved locations since I am a weather forecaster. Second, the precipitation radar only covers North America, Europe, and Asia rather than the whole globe. Thirdly, when opening the current forecast for the city it only gives you a small menu rather than a big menu. UV, Air Quality, Covid, and storm reports are missing.

Indescribably unique app. Came upon it as it was used by a major weather caster to validate some of its weather forecast findings. That says a lot for this app. I highly recommend it. Sharpest radar period. Solid performance. Earthquake detection and hurricane tracking are special features.
