This could be a great app and I do enjoy using it, but I'm disappointed that more often than not, it can't identify the "species" which keeps it from completing taking a photo. I'd love to complete the challenges, but again, if the species isn't identified, it doesn't "count" Sometimes, it will identify then change to not identify before a photo can take. And you can't expect to get an insect or animal photo to complete a challenge because none of them are unmoving long enough to identify.

Very nice app! I would say since it is a fairly new app I won't be too harsh on it. I use the app all the time! It is very fun to use, rewarding, and educational! It of course isn't perfect, but for the most part can guess a lot of different insect, fungi, mammal, and etc species! I would definitely recommend!

I am grateful for this app as it helps in identifying plants. Used in conjunction with a book it is an excellent tool.

tried a few similar apps. this is not nearly as good as google lens, but it's by far the best one in its category, to find the actual plant species for sure (which google doesn't do) and it does work offline. when it manages to find it, it's quite precise and great. but, most times, it can't. even for simple things like a wild cherry. the ux and general app smoothness & speed are also lacking a lot on my $999 pixel 3.

When I first got it, I liked it. Except for the fact that it takes forever to find the species in order for you to take the picture. So you have to sit or stand still & hope the thing you are trying to identify doesn't move. Now not so much. The camera doesn't even work anymore. All I get is a message saying, "Sorry, we weren't able to load the camer... Attempt to invoke virtual method 'int org.inaturalist.inatcamera.ui.Size.getWidth()' on a null object reference" What does that even mean?!
