  It does not teach you the Nihongo that Japanese people speak. Examples: It teaches you to say "sayonara" for goodbye. WRONG! Sayonara is reserved for extended absences or at death, not as an everyday "goodbye". More often Japanese say "mata ne" or "ja ne". NOBODY in Japan says "watashi wa anata o aishiteimasu," to say I love you unless they're in a television drama. Affection is expressed as "daisuki". This app cannot be trusted. You can laugh all you want, Meta, but you're still wrong.

  It teaches grammatically correct Nihongo, which is not every day speech. The way it teaches you to say "good bye" is technically correct, but sayonara is reserved for extended absences or when death is involved, not as a general "see you later". There is no word for just "brother", and I've had native Japanese tell me this. NOBODY in Japan says "watashi wa anata o aishiteimasu," unless they're in a television drama. More often than not, it's a simple "daisuki". I cannot trust this app.
