Why no crab angle calculation?

The app overlays my Android home screen controls. I have to hit the power button and log back into my phone to see my home screen icons. That allows the home screen icons to remain visible but the top of the app content runs off the top of the display and the user can't swipe it down. It's very frustrating.

Like the app on my phone but on Sony Xperia Tablet Z there are no controls to End the app. Must reboot to get out.
