Description Brevent

Brevent, black prevent, can app-standby (since Android 6.0, not supported on some devices) or force-stop apps without root, prevent apps from running in long time.
Brevent never brevent apps not in Bervent list. If apps are launched then quit (tapping Back or so), Brevent will app-standby them; if apps timed out in standby, or swiped from recents screen, Brevent will force-stop them. Whenever apps are running without activity, Brevent will force-stop them.
Apps in Brevent list can be set "allow sync" to receive notifications or do sync jobs. Brevent won't standby "allow sync" apps, and Brevent won't force-stop "allow sync" apps with notifications or running in background.
Brevent supports Android 6 to Android 13, requires "USB debugging" or "Wireless debugging" (since Android 11) in "developer options".
In Android 8 - Android 14, Brevent won't work if debugging is off or USB option is changed. If debugging turns off when you unplug the cable, please change USB option. Normally, it's OK to keep USB option as default.

Love this APP. Have used for several years. But it can't work with Android 11. Expecting an update.

I'd say that overall my battery lasts longer using Brevent than any other tweak I've tried, that's including other kernels too.

This app seems to work great on my rooted phone, but it's very confusing with the manual adb versus read-only modes and I am forced to use the read-only mode which has a couple different timers that I have to wait for because I cannot get adb to work correctly between the computer and the phone, so most of the time I have to constantly check to see if its actually working or not. So that is why I am hesitant to buy it. If this could be made to 'set it and forget it' I'd happily purchase it.

Add filter option to only check which apps are Brevented. Plus don't auto brevent by default! If you don't want to support root properly, use Shizuku.

I used to get about one and a half days of use out of a charge. Was irritated when that dropped to 12 hours after a system reset, until I realised I forgot to install this little guy here. Now he's mowing down apps in the background again and my power levels are back up!
