What's New with Blackboard Learn 8.8.1

In this update, we're addressing frequent logouts based on your feedback. While these logouts may seem like an issue they're a new security feature required by some institutions. We're making a temporary change that allows for longer sessions.
Please be aware that institutions requiring IL4 certification will have a default 25-minute session timeout in the future, which we can't alter. We appreciate your patience as we work towards a solution that meets everyone's needs for a smoother experience

  App not working!!! I go to Fitchburg State University. I go to log in and I just get a black screen after log-in. This is UNACCEPTABLE. FIX THIS. What in the seven hells is going on.

  Literally just takes you to the desktop webpage. It used to have a dedicated interface( which didn't work 100% anyway) but now it's just a pain. I'd rather access it on my phone browser now.

  Guys! Old version worked way better than this new update! I have to sign in every time I close the app. The session timeouts are way too frequent. No notifications until I log in! No offense but sometimes "if its not broken, it doesn't need fixing" is the best approach. 🤦

  Update: uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it went back to the mobile format still three stars cause the basic interface only kind of works too but is much better than the weird mobile webpage we were getting directed to. ***Recent update is trash. Instead of showing the easy to use app layout it just feeds you the website version which doesn't work on mobile for anything. What's the point of a mobile app that's just a web container?
