حياته
ولد في مدينة المنصورة، بمحافظة الدقهلية لأب من محافظة الشرقية وأم من القاهرة. درس في كلية التربية الموسيقية، بجامعة حلوان. بدأ مشواره الفني بتلحين أغنية فيلم فرح، وكانت من غناء أحمد فوزي. لكنه حصل علي شهرته الفنية بتلحين أغنية "فين لياليك" للمطرب اللبناني فضل شاكر.
