The Mantathlon is a take on the ancient sporting contest known as the pentathlon. In this 5 event contest participants would sprint, jump throw and wrestle their way to glory and prove who was “The man.”
Throwing, sprinting, wrestling and jumping have been replaced with iron in an event that will test both the competitors physical and mental toughness.
As a test the Mantathlon might seem a little primitive, however, on closer inspection the exercise selection is inspired. Adding a time limit and having the test relate directly to your own bodyweight.
The events are bench press, chin ups, overhead press, dips and barbell curls.
