When travelling, we usually cross paths with plenty of people: fellow travellers, of course, and some locals: guides, accommodation hosts, taxi drivers... But it’s not so easy to actually meet the locals beyond the service providers, especially once we go off the tourist trail.

With Nomadawhoo©, travellers and locals meet for real, to share an authentic moment together. It’s an opportunity to discover another culture, to converse – or at least try to - in a foreign language, or simply go for a drink together. No one will ask you to pay for their special tour of the town, for a one-on-one cooking lesson with their grandmother, or even for a pub crawl. Nomadawhoo© is completely free! Locals and travelers simply meet to spend time together, without expecting any sort of reward.
It’s all about spontaneous encounters
We can all recall those great moments: randomly crossing path with strangers and then spending time together – strangers with whom we thought we’d have absolutely nothing in common … at least, not at first glance. It might have been our differences, in fact, that made the moment so special – that moment when we learnt a little more about the world. And this is the spirit Nomadawhoo© wants to recreate: let’s meet the world until we change it!
How Nomadawhoo© works:
- No endless profile to fill in, asking for your favourite colour or the name of your goldfish. Just choose your Nomader profile: ‘Traveller’ if you want to meet locals or ‘Local’’ if you want to meet people from around the world.
- No need to browse through a catalogue to decide whether Bob is cooler than Jack, or to study pictures trying to work out who you will get along with. Man or woman – black, white or green, cute or ugly – NO MATTER WHO! So if you don’t judge a book by its cover, just leave it to chance as in real life and press ‘Find a Nomader’.
