Cruise is a transportation network solution of Hedgeware, a Lagos, Nigeria based transit and mobility solutions Company. The company markets and operates the Cruise car transportation mobile app.
Cruise is poised to make taxi hailing a seamless and easy experience by providing unmatched commuting experience. We are committed to fast, efficient, affordable commute to all our partners who leverage our custom-built technology.
The service was launched in May 2017; however, Cruise has already started plans for organic expansion expanding across Africa.
How it works:
Riders and Drivers must download Cruise app from Apple Store or Google Play, set up a profile and choose a payment method: card or other payment channels
Once the rider has confirmed the pick-up location, requested a ride and the driver has accepted, rider can see the driver’s name and car details. After the ride is finished both driver and rider can rate each other. Cruise uses this feedback to keep the quality of the service high.
Safety:
Cruise has stressed the importance of safety for customers. All drivers undergo a criminal background check and in-person training. Drivers are also required to be at least 21 years old and have had a driver's license for at least 3 years. Cruise has a zero-tolerance policy against alcohol and drug use.
