Farklı kurallar
Damada tek doğru kurallar seti diye bir şey yok. Her insanın kendi alışkanlıkları var, herkes çocukken öğrendiği kuralla gore oynamayı sever. İşte bu yüzden işin en doğrusu en sevdiğimiz kuralları seçmektir:
Türk daması
Büyük ihtimalle bu kuralları en çok seveceksin :) Oyun, tahtanın hem beyaz hem de siyah karelerinde yer alır. Oyun başlangıçında taşlar tahtanın 2’nci ve 3’ncü sıralarında bulunurlar. Diğer dama türlerine aykırı olarak çapraz değil, ileri ve yanlara hareket ederler. Damanın hareketleri strançtaki vezirin hareketlerine benzer.
Uluslararası dama
Taş almak zorunlu olmakla beraber bütün taşlar geri giderek rakip taşlarını alabilirler. Damanın hareketleri “uzun” yani çaprazlar boyunca boş kareler boyunca istediği gibi hareket eder. Oyuncular en karlı, yani en çok rakip taşı alacak taş alma imkanını seçmelileri. Dama, taş alma öncülüğne sahiptir.
İspanya daması
Kuralları uluslararsı kurallardan çok farklı değilse de oyun beyaz karelerde yer alır, taşların geri giderken alma hakkı yok.
İngiliz daması (Checkers)
Taş almak zorunlu olmakla beraber taşlar geri giderken rakip taşlarını alamazlar. Damanın hareketleri de farklı: “uzun” hareketleri yok, ancak bir kare olarak ileri veya geri gidebilir. Üstelik geri giderken taş alabilir.
