Most people don’t realize you can learn how to be funny. In fact, I want to convince you that the funniest people hone their witty craft.
And being funny matters.
If you want to be a stand comedian, which is an art in itself, you have to study other comedians. Learn their style and delivery techniques then develop your own. You can't just be pulling one joke after another from a hat, You have to learn about your audience and what make them tick. The most successful comedians will tell a story about their lives or something that happened in their lives that may have been funny and tell it in such a way that the audience is captivated from beginning to end.
How to deliver a good joke!
Every one of us has a funny story or two hidden in the closet. You can tell your audience about a funny or an embarrassing story that happened to you years ago and make them feel the emotions, or the embarrassment themselves. In order to become good at telling such stories, you have to practice in front of a mirror and use the facial expressions, the voice, the moves of the story to make it all come together. How to be funny is to let the audience into your world and let them share the joy, sadness and happiness with you.
