The Logistics Division under Ministry of Commerce has launched Safar app to gauge the issues faced by transporters on the road.
The app tracks four parameters and their incidence across the nation. These are: Road Congestion, Quality of Roads, Graft, and Accidents. The latitude, longitude of each report are automatically captured by the application and stored for further analysis.
Transporters and general public are requested to use the app for reporting the cases of the above mentioned incidents to the Ministry.
Logistics division, Ministry of Commerce plans to develop an Integrated Logistics Planning and Performance Monitoring Tool (LPPT) to support logistics infrastructure planning, process optimization, and to monitor and track logistics performance in the country. The data from the app shall help government plan and take action appropriately.
Please note that any report on the app does not guarantee any action or reply from the Ministry.
