Congress has as main objective to provide a space for researchers, engineers practice, teachers and students to meet, present progress and exchange ideas and experiences related to seismic engineering experiences and to reflect on the need to effectively implement and update constantly design standards in order to mitigate the impact and consequences of earthquakes.

This time the Congress will be held in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco and will be held from 20 to 23 September 2017. Guadalajara is the capital of the state of Jalisco, and is the third most populous city. Its rich historical and cultural heritage invites a mosaic of cultural activities, ecotourism and which highlights its range of culinary experiences
