Description Wattpad

Wattpad is an application that lets you share new stories with other people. It can be used through your website, a computer or through your mobile phone application. Users can post articles, stories, poems, blogs, fan fiction, science fiction and stories on a variety of topics, either online or through the Wattpad application (for iOS and Android, Windows Phone or Online). The content includes works by unknown and well-known authors. Users can comment on and vote for stories or join groups connected to the site. About 50% of the demand comes from the USA and to a lesser extent from Great Britain, Canada, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Spain, Australia, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Bolivia.
Wattpad has several small competitions. The largest annual competition is called the "Wattys Awards". In 2011, the Wattys Awards introduced three entry levels (popular, upward and undiscovered) to increase the chances of winning for each level of the writer. The contests are open to anyone who has posted a story on Wattpad.
In the summer of 2012, Wattpad, in collaboration with Margaret Atwood (Canadian poet, writer and literary critic), organized the "Wattys", the first major poetry competition in which Wattpad poets could compete in one of two categories of "enthusiasts" or "competitors".
