The arti (pronounced "aarti") is one of the most important and popular ceremonies of Hinduism. It is a form of prayer offered in greeting and thanksgiving to God where devotees are reminded of his glorious presence and providence.
At BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in London - popularly known as the Neasden Temple - the arti to Bhagwan Swaminarayan is performed daily at 6:00am, 7:30am, 11:45am, 7:00pm and 8:30pm. This app provides a notification at 11:45am as reminder for the devotes to join the ceremony being performed at the Mandir. Along with playing the musical arti hymn, the app also displays images of the murtis (sacred images) from the shrines from that very day at the Mandir. This gives the devotees the opportunity to participate in the worship of Bhadwan Swaminarayan remotely.
