The Neptune App was launched in 2016 and helps our global clients test and improve connectivity to their own websites from local markets.
6 times a day, the Neptune Android app automatically performs a routine where it will "ping” our clients websites and calculate response metrics such as 1) round trip speed 2) page load speed 3) page size 4) dropped packets etc. This information helps our clients produce better performing websites for their local customers.

The Neptune app only runs on the Android operating system presently.
The App accesses the device location in the background during the above described ping routine. This is required in order to pin point geographical location with website accessibility issues. The location is accessed only during the ping routine and a notification is displayed to indicate it.
