Among Us is a murder mystery puzzler, where you play as a group to complete basic tasks around a spaceship. None of these tasks are particularly difficult - though card swiping can be frustrating - but they’re hampered by the presence of an ‘Impostor’ - or 'Imposter' depending on who you're talking to. There will be between one and three Impostors each game, and a full crew can be up to ten.
Among Us is very much a game of two halves, as how to win as a crew mate various wildly from how to win as an Imposter. For that reason, we’ve separated the tips here into two categories, so that no matter what you're playing as, you can gain the upper hand.
Most tasks take up the whole screen, leaving you blind, and some take a long time to complete. Be aware not to do these if someone suspicious is around.
Consider doing the tasks you know will take more time first when you've got the best chance to be around a lot of people.
Safety in Numbers
Traveling with a person you trust means its much harder for an Impostor to kill you, but you may well be pairing up with an Impostor yourself. Tread carefully. If you can be with more than one other person you'll probably be better off.
