This app simulates working of a pendulum clock.
Components are dimensioned according to true physics and run according to Box2D physics engine.
The lowest wheel is regulated to spin at one revolution every 60 seconds.
Series of yellowish wheels reduce rotation by a factor of 60 for minute hand.
The reddish wheel system further scales down rotation by a factor of 12 to drive hour hand.
Striking mechanism at the bottom can provide chiming at every hour.
The snail-shaped cam is rotated to specific orientation at change of hour.
When the lever is released, the pallet falls to specific depth (governed by snail orientation) and expose certain number of teeth.
Counting wheel rotates and lift pallet by one tooth at a time until the lever is jammed to bottom of pallet.
In each rotation, a strike to bell is initiated.
You will enjoy observing clock gear and striking mechanism.
