Openclassrooms

OpenClassrooms is an online course site. Each visitor can both be a reader or writer. Courses can be carried out both by members, by the site team, or possibly by university professors or large partner schools. Initially focused around computer programming, the platform since 2013 covers broader topics such as marketing, entrepreneurship and science.
Established in 1999 under the name Zero Site, is formed mainly on the basis of voluntary contributions popularized offering tutorials with a light tone on various computer subjects. Following the success and graduation of the managers, the company Simple IT, then OpenClassrooms fame, is founded to perpetuate the site. It bases its business model on the issue of pay and certifications offers a subscription to be followed by a mentor3,4.
In 2015, the site states count 1 million accounts since its inception, and a traffic of 2.5 million unique visitors per months5. The same year, the Premium subscription is offered free to all French job seekers, in partnership with the employment center and the government.
