As part of its revitalization of forest training centres in Southern Africa, the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) commissioned this App (there are three others in the series) to provide a mobile 3D teaching platform in order to show chainsaw operators the disastrous results of some bad habits or mistakes.
This knowledge is presented in a way that is visual and engaging. This is learning in a “fun” way.
The user is presented with three disaster scenarios, i.e. chainsaw kickbacks, using the wrong fuel and chain breakage resulting from poor maintenance.
