WhatsApp is one of the world's most used social app, with more than 1.2 billion people worldwide and 200 million people in India. Despite the success of Facebook, but Facebook has not become a complacent company, every few weeks to release some new features will be able to maintain the pace of competitors. 2017, of course, saw the WhatsApp state improvement (Snapchat attack), but this year there are many other small updates that do not get too much attention. From the increased media sharing restrictions to the video stream, let's take a look at all the new WhatsApp features released this year. While downloading this memory channel, we have sorted it according to the biggest impact (or will be in beta) in the user experience.

1. New revamped Snapchat-like Status feature

Perhaps one of the most important updates this year, the new "national" feature was launched in February to all users worldwide. The new WhatsApp state feature replaces the old text state, allowing users to change their status to short video, or multiple photos will automatically disappear within 24 hours. Even if this feature explicitly introduces Snapchat's competitors, it also revolutionizes the way users communicate with each other every day.

2. Media sharing limit increased to 30

This change is significant  because WhatsApp is one of the main platforms for taking pictures and videos after events, parties or any social meetings. The media limit first at 10, this increase to 30 is the welcome change for all users. Originally found in Android beta for the first time, but eventually launched on all platforms.

3. Recall or Revoke feature

This feature has not yet appeared in the stable version, but has been found in various situations. It is important in the chat application because it allows you to call the sent message. It may reach many possible functional forms that allow users to send them to their contacts for message recall or "not sent" or even edit them. This feature can be seen in the iPhone beta, recently in WhatsApp Web is the case.

4. Two-step verification

This feature was launched in February to provide optional security features for all users. With this feature, users can now safely verify their numbers when installing applications on new devices. When users re-use WhatsApp to register their phone numbers, they must provide a six-digit password (created by them using this feature) - or through the application to verify their phone number.
