This is in spite of the fact that 80% of the medical expenses are not covered by any reimbursement or insurance scheme and are borne by the patients. There is also a need to educate and empower the patients so that they can demand quality medical care and at the same we also need to ensure that the health care service providers are enabled to create and implement patient friendly norms to strengthen health care systems.
