Paglalarawan

Ghorepani-Poon Hill Trek is the gateway trek to walking in the Nepal Himalayas. It shows you enough, but just enough to make you want to come back. In the lower stretches it treats you with Gurung and Magar hospitality. It also takes you through one of the lushest forests teeming with rhododendrons and diverse wildlife. In a couple of days you will effortlessly glide to a level of serenity that only comes from living close to nature. The high point, both literally and figuratively, is Poon Hill. Rather than thinking of Poon Hill as a hilltop with a good view it is advisable to think of it as a menu, serving ideas for your next trek. The mountains that you see in front you from Poon Hill are best enjoyed by walking into the valleys that lie before you. However, for those pressed for time or for those who just wish to get a feel of trekking in Nepal, this is 'the' trek.
Not advised for those who don't wish to get hooked to trekking in the Himalayas!!
Important features:
Place Based approach
Rather than a xerox of an author’s experiences and biases, we provide information in a place based manner rather than a narrative based approach. With the narrative based prescriptive approach, the author dictates what experience a trekker will have and make more informed decisions.
Depth of research
While everybody loves to regurgitate conventional wisdom, we are uncomfortable talking shop. We question, we research and hence we find stuffs that are just unique.
Placecards
This feature is so novel to the guidebook industry that we actually had to invent the word, ‘placecards’. A placecard is a small card for stuffs that is relevant to a particular place. It could be a bird, a butterfly, a famous person or local folklore. These aren’t the ‘big things’ that normal guidebooks like to push but interesting things that engages rather than awes.
Complete lodge coverage
We have basic information including availability of WiFi, non-squat toilets, campsites, prices, contact information and much more for ALL the lodges in the area we cover.
Dynamic Safety Features
In order to keep trekkers safe, we have implemented three novel safety features: Deviation Alerts, Climb Alerts and Avalanche/Rockfall Alerts.
Up-to-date and detailed Safety Section
We have invested a lot of time in coming up with a Safety Section that simply cannot be matched by any other provider.
Mountain Finder
With our Mountain Finder we intend to instill the skill of knowing mountain names in each and every user.
Offline
Just three words there, “Yes, we are”.
