Ad Acquaviva l'acqua non si vede. Ma c'è, nascosta nelle viscere della terra. E nel profondo dell'identità storica della sua comunità . Per questo il Comune ha voluto realizzare, con il sostegno del Gal Seb, il progetto "Luoghi dell'Acqua e della Terra", che da questi locali di Palazzo De Mari, un tempo occupati da una Farmacia, si irradia nei vicoli del Centro Antico, dove si dipana il percorso dei Pozzi Parlanti, per poi perdersi nella campagna fino ai Pozzi del Piano, dove torna a vivere l'antica 'ngegna, una noria azionata da animali da cui un tempo si attingeva l'acqua per irrigare i campi. Cosi per secoli una florida e incontaminata agricoltura ha portato sulle tavole dei nostri avi i prodotti sani e benefici oggi al centro della Dieta Mediterranea, Patrimonio immateriale dell'Umanità.
