Every Person Has Different Needs
Calorie needs vary from one person to the other and should be identified individually. A lack of nutrients can cause deficiency symptoms and too many of them can lead to toxic side effects.
Science-Based Calculation
BeWell uses a science-based calculation method for calculating the calorie and nutrients needs that is based on the reference values of DGE (German Nutrition Association) and ÖGE (Austrian Nutrition Association). Not only the calorie needs are calculated, but also the individual nutrients and water needs.
Please note that the recommended amounts of calories and nutrients in “BeWell – My Calorie Needs” do not cover all special cases like food intolerances or pregnancies.
