MIC - Monitoring and Instrument Coordination Test (FREE)
The most important components of the training module for the MIC test are the compass (above), the altimeter (right) and the air speed indicator with automatic thrust controller (left). The clock (below) has no function. In addition there are the two red and green input buttons for the acoustic task (top left).
The whole test comprises twelve stages, which in the exam situation either tun through one by one or can be individually processed. On each one of the compass, the altimeter and the air speed indicator there is a green dot to be seen on the face that is supposed to represent the actual target value of the respective instrument. Herby there are two basis types of task:
the holding of a preset course, respectively a preset height (aim at the green dot as exactly as possible) and the constant following of a course, respectively change in height (follow the green dot at as close as possible a speed).
Steering is done by Gyroscope sensors on your mobile device. Forward and Backward rotation controls the height on the altimeter (Pitch effect), Left and Right rotation controls (Roll effect). The two Arrrow buttons (bottom left, bottom right) control the compass (Yaw effect).
Acoustic task : Numbers from 1 to 10 will be read to you.If three odd numbers are read out consecutively the red button must be pressed; if three even numbers are read out the green button must be pressed.
