The mental health of young people is a huge problem in Irish society.
There is a stigma surrounding the word ‘’mental health’ with most immediately
implying mental problems into the definition. This stigma has lead to
a reluctance to visit mental health facilities, but also halted the conversation
preventing us from learning about our mental well-being and how to
improve it.
KeepAppy wishes to provide young people with the tools to improve their
‘mental fitness’ independently.
KeepAppy is TCD’s mental health app, running in association
with trinity college’s Students Union and counseling service. The app is
a mental health journal, sending push notifications once a day helping
students to monitor events, mood and a range of other factors that effect
mental health.
