The player or players must shoot at a
groups of enemies in order to win the stage of each level.

On the way the player can find numerous weapon and "Metal Slug" tanks.
Tank serie is SV-001 ("SV" stands for Super Vehicle), which increases the player's offense and adds to their defense.
