سازندگان «ماسک» چه کسانی‌اند؟
ما تیمی از استادان، دانش‌آموختگان و دانشجویان دانشگاه‌های صنعتی شریف، شهید بهشتی و امیرکبیر هستیم که بلافاصله پس از تأیید ورود کرونا به ایران تصمیم گرفتیم به صورت داوطلبانه و بدون انگیزه‌های تجاری، به یاری هم‌وطنانمان بیاییم و در هماهنگی با مرکز مبارزه با بیماری‌های واگیردار وزارت بهداشت و جمعی از متخصصان برجستهٔ علوم پزشکی و اپیدمیولوژی و با بهره‌گیری از تجارب سایر کشورها گامی در جهت کنترل شیوع کرونا و کاهش قربانیانش در ایران برداریم.
 
چه هدفی داریم؟
هدف ما کمک به شهروندان ایران و نظام سلامت برای کاهش قربانیان آن در ایران از طریق آگاهی‌افزایی و فراهم کردن نقشهٔ ابتلا در ایران است. مثلاً  اگر یکی از افرادی که شما در دوهفتهٔ اخیر با آن‌ها تماس نزدیک (ارتباط رودررو به فاصلهٔ کمتر از دو متر یا تماس با وسایل مشترک) داشته‌اید مبتلا به کرونا شود، لازم است شما هم در سریع‌ترین زمان مطلع شوید. بعد از اطلاع، شما می‌توانید تماس‌تان با دیگران، به‌خصوص سالمندان و افراد دارای بیماری زمینه‌‌ای را قطع کنید، حتی‌الامکان خود را قرنطینهٔ خانگی کنید و به محض بروز علایم نظام سلامت و درمان را مطلع کنید. با این کار می‌توان از مبتلا شدن هزاران نفر و مرگ صدها نفر پیشگیری کرد.
 
چه فایده‌ای دارد؟
بر اساس تجربه‌های موفق جوامع دیگر رصد تماس‌های نزدیک و آگاهی‌بخشی به افرادی که با بیماران کرونا تماس نزدیک داشته‌اند از موثرترین روش‌های کنترل شیوع کرونا است. این کار جزء الزامات سازمان‌ بهداشت جهانی (WHO) و سایر سازمان‌های بین‌المللی بهداشتی برای کشورها هم هست. اپلیکیشن‌های مشابه در کشورهایی مثل چین و کرهٔ جنوبی نقشی‌ تعیین‌کننده در کاهش قربانیان کرونا داشته اند. هر چه تعداد بیشتری از شهروندان از این اپلیکیشن استفاده کنند، اولا تصویر دقیق‌تری از نقشهٔ ابتلا در کشور خواهیم داشت و ثانیا به میزان بیشتری می‌شود از شیوع کرونا و شمار قربانیانش کاست.
 
چگونه از اطلاعات هویتی من حفاظت می‌شود؟
حفظ حریم شخصی کاربران جز خط قرمزهای ما است. ماسک نسبت به محرمانه ماندن و صیانت از داده‌های شما تعهد سخت‌گیرانه‌ای دارد، صرفا به مکان گوشی شما و اطلاعاتی که خودتان می‌دهید دسترسی دارد و اجازهٔ دسترسی به بقیهٔ اطلاعات گوشی شما را ندارد. همین اطلاعاتی که می‌دهید هم کاملا محرمانه می‌ماند و کمیته‌ای متشکل از نمایندگان تعدادی از معتبرترین نهادهای تخصصی و علمی و مستقل کشور و نمایندگان چند خیریهٔ معتبر بر محرمانگی داده‌های شما نظارت می‌کنند.
 
آیا باید شماره موبایلم را ثبت کنم؟

آیا «ماسک» از موقعیت جغرافیایی من استفاده می‌کند؟
ماسک هیچ کاری را بدون اجازهٔ شما انجام نمی‌دهد. اگر اجازهٔ ثبت موقعیت جغرافیایی خود را بدهید، اگر مشخص شود در همان زمان یک بیمار کرونا در همان محل حضور داشته، ماسک می‌تواند این موضوع را به شما اطلاع دهد.

What is our purpose?
Our goal is to help the citizens of Iran and the health system reduce its victims in Iran by raising awareness and providing a map of the disease in Iran. For example, if one of the people you have been in close contact with over the last two weeks (less than two meters away or in common) contact, you need to be informed as soon as possible. Once informed, you can cut off contact with others, especially the elderly and people with underlying illness, even quarantine yourself as soon as possible, and inform your health and treatment as soon as possible. This can prevent thousands of people from dying and hundreds of deaths.

Mask has a strict obligation to keep your data confidential and to have access to the location of your phone and the information you provide yourself and not to the rest of your phone's information. The same information you provide is kept confidential, and a committee of representatives from some of the country's most prestigious professional and independent scientific and research institutions and several reputable charities oversees the confidentiality of your data.
Do I need to register my mobile number?
No, it is not necessary to register a mobile phone number and you can use different parts of the mask such as maps and information. But we are working, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, to ask patients with coronary artery disease who have had a close contact with the disease two weeks ago.
