Recorriendo «El Antiguo Santa Cruz» podrás conocer su andadura histórica como localidad a través de la construcción de sus elementos patrimoniales más singulares: la Ermita de San Telmo; las Iglesias de Nuestra Señora de la Concepción o de San Francisco; la Plaza de la Iglesia o la de Candelaria; así como algunas de sus calles más antiguas (de la Noria, Clavel, La Palma, del Sol, etc.)
Santa Cruz de Tenerife, fue uno de los puertos mejor fortificados dentro de la extensa red de escalas de la navegación atlántica en siglos pasados, y atesora retazos de todo aquel patrimonio defensivo que le valió el temible apelativo de «plaza fuerte». Con el itinerario «Fortificaciones» se visitan algunos de los baluartes y explanadas artilladas de su litoral: los Castillos de Paso Alto, San Juan, San Cristóbal o el Fuerte de Almeyda; la Casa de la Pólvora; la Batería de Regla o de San Francisco y los restos de la antigua muralla ya desaparecida.
La capital santacrucera guarda un importante patrimonio arquitectónico modernista de las primeras décadas del siglo XX. Este legado artístico, en el que confluyen las tendencias del eclecticismo y el historicismo, puede disfrutarse con el recorrido «La arquitectura modernista de Santa Cruz» que ofrece algunos ejemplos muy singulares: la Plaza de los Patos y sus palacetes; las calles Jesús y María, Ruiz de Padrón o Numancia; y los edificios Foronda, Ledesma o Elder.
