Sai Retina Foundation regularly organizes free eye camps with complete screening of the eyes including the retina. Special emphasis is on awareness and screening for Diabetic Retinopathy, Hypertensive Retinopathy, Age Related Macular Degeneration, etc. therefore blood sugar and blood pressure estimation is mandatory in all these camps.
The camps are held two to three times a week. We have a very efficient support system in the form of ten community mobilizers who have been specially trained in spreading awareness in the community regarding the severity of diabetes in our society and its co-morbidities.
