Many people think that they could use any MP3 player app for “transcribing”. You would recognize that it is absolutely wrong when you are actually listening and transcribing a podcast.
• The first difficulty – lost your attention: after 10 to 20 seconds trying to listen and memorize, you have to click “pause” on app, this action will cause your brain missing the attention in a second. Consequently you will forget many things that you heard. The “Auto pause” function of ELP Player will be very useful in this scenario.
• The second difficulty: listening a too short or too long paragraph is not good for transcribing. ELP Player allows you to setup an appropriate time from 1 to 120 seconds.
• The third difficulty – you want to hear again the last paragraph. Almost normal MP3 player apps don’t provide a feature to rewind exactly back to the last stop. With the “RW to last stop” option of ELP Player, you just need one click to go back.
• The fourth difficulty: when you are on pause and do RW/FW, you probably need to click Play button to start playing. This might affect so you don’t hear well the beginning of paragraph. EPL Player could help you with the “Auto play after RW or FW” option.
