A few days ago, the Indian government officially launched the Aarogya Setu APP. The APP can retrieve information from the database of known new coronary pneumonia cases through mobile phone positioning and Bluetooth communication to assess whether the user is a new crown virus infection or close contact person.
Aarogya Setu will record the user's personal data, including location information. When the user applies for evaluation, the APP will anonymize the data and send it to the central server, and compare the activity trajectory of the user and the infected person in contact with it to evaluate the infection risk. At the same time, with the help of the Bluetooth signal, the APP can detect whether there is a new crown virus carrier within 1.8 meters around the user.
If the test result is positive, or the user maintains close contact with the infected person, the APP will include this information in the government shared database.

Currently, Aarogya Setu has landed on the Android platform and supports 11 languages. The Indian government hopes to use this APP, together with the 21-day "closure" plan being implemented, to limit the spread of the new coronavirus in the community.
