Timbres allows you to record a sound and view its timbre as a graphical representation of the sound wave. There's some science* behind it but the point is that "what you see is what you hear".
The graphical representations are short animations that can be shared with other users, via social network such as Twitter, YouTube, Facebook etc.
This is an early release to get initial feedback. Let us know your ideas and help shaping this app. Collaborate and experiment with us - Timbres is a community, not a product.
This app needs the following permissions for the following reasons:
- Microphone to record the sounds
- Storage to save the generated animations on our device.
