Memotion is an Android application that collects data from phone sensors and self-reports with the purpose of inferring user's overall well-being. The application will be used by students of the Mobile Computing course at Universita della Svizzera italiana, in Lugano, Switzerland, where students will be collecting and analyzing their own data as part of the course curriculum. The sensor data collected by Memotion include: location, phone lock/unlock events, call, SMS, application and notification logs Memotion asks users to explicitly complete self-reports sent at predetermined intervals. The self-reports contain questions about user's affect, productivity, fatigue, stress, sleep, engagement levels during the day. The data collected by Memotion is stored locally on user’s mobile phone and uploaded every day remotely to a highly secure data storage (SWITCHdrive).
